Sequoia Community! Are you ready to give back? 
Coming up Saturday, September 24 is Pleasant Hill's Community Service Day.

Please go to to sign up for various projects throughout the city. Volunteers will receive a t-shirt and breakfast from 8:00-9:00 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Park, sponsored by the Lions Club. From 9:00-1:00 members of our community will be working at sites to help our schools, parks, seniors and homeless populations.

Don't have time Saturday but want to help?
This year the City is also having 3 additional collection drives – one for facial tissue for the schools, one for backpack supplies for our homeless population, and our annual food drive.  Donated items can be brought to either to Pleasant Hill Park or our job site.

Backpacks for the Homeless: The Diversity Commission will be collecting items to be sorted into backpacks and distributed to the unhoused community. Items being sought include:

  • Socks (new)
  • Deodorant
  • Waterless (dry) shampoo
  • Body wipes
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Toothbrushes
  • Toothpaste
  • Combs
  • Brushes
  • Drawstring backpacks
  • Gallon Ziploc Bags
  • Moving blankets (60" x 72" blankets from Harbor Freight Preferred)

Gift cards may also be donated for businesses such as Harbor Freight, Big 5, Dick's Sporting Goods, for CORE (Coordinated Outreach, Referral, Engagement team) to purchase needed supplies. 

Food drive:

Non-perishable dry goods, canned or boxed.
